Candidate intelligence · for recruitment agencies

Your search finds keywords. Gemsift finds who can do the job.

Your base is full of candidates you already paid to find, and a keyword search only returns the ones you knew to look for. Gemsift reads the whole base against each new role and tells you why each person is worth the call. Move in from your old ATS in under an hour.

Read this before you switch

Gemsift holds the base, the jobs, the pipeline and the placements, and it reads every candidate for you. It is also deliberately not everything a classic platform is: no job-board posting, no interview scheduling, no HRIS, no two-way email sync. If your desk depends on the parts we cut, a heavier ATS is the better buy, and we would rather you knew that on this page than after the trial.

What it is not

Not a chatbot

No AI talks to your candidates. No automated interviews, no screening bots, no robot recruiter in the loop. Candidates never interact with Gemsift at all. It reads, it scores, it gives you the reason.

What it is not

Not a keyword filter

It does not match strings. It reads what a person actually did and says whether that fits this role, so someone who wrote “built the internal tool” instead of “React developer” does not sink to the bottom of the list.

What it is not

The human decides

Every score arrives with a written reason, and a flag where something needs a second look. You review, you call, you place. The judgment is the product; the decision stays yours.

The insight

Searchable is not surfaced

You can already search your database. That is the trap.

A boolean query only returns who you knew to look for. The strong candidate who wrote “built the internal tool” instead of “React developer” is invisible to that search by definition. Your next placement is often already in your base, and your search will never hand them back.

You cannot feel that loss, because a search never shows you who it skipped. Gemsift reads the whole base against the role instead of matching it, and gives you a written reason for every person it puts in front of you.

See the difference

Your keyword search is hiding your best candidates

Same pile of resumes. Two ways to read it.

Keyword search

Query: “Senior React Developer, 5 years”

47 matches

  • Senior React Developer, 5 years experience, Agile, Scrum
  • React Developer, 5+ years, Redux, TypeScript
  • Frontend Engineer, React specialist

Strongest candidate: not returned. Wrong words on the resume.

Same base, read against the role

6 worth calling

  • Priya N.

    94 · Strong fit

Built the internal tool that saved the team 40 hours a week. Led the migration nobody else wanted.

  • Marcus D.

    89 · Hidden gem

Self-taught, shipped three side projects with real users. No formal title, delivered repeatedly.

  • Elena R.

    87 · Worth a look

Managed an offshore team through a rewrite. Flag: verify communication style on the call.

The keyword search returned none of these three.

Illustration, not a customer case. The people and scores are made up; the shape of the output is not.

The problem

You paid for every candidate in that database. Your ATS turned them into files.

Every day a role sits open, the agency loses money, while the right person is usually already sitting in your own system from a search months ago.

The base is a filing cabinet

Thousands of candidates you paid to attract, unfindable the day a matching role lands. Legacy systems store resumes; they do not read them.

AI floods you with noise

One posting pulls hundreds of keyword-perfect, near-identical applications. The one you would have called is buried under the CV-polishers.

Reading eats the week

Recruiters lose a large share of the week to resumes that never fit. That is time not spent talking to candidates and clients, which is the actual job.

How it works

From your old system to your first shortlist in an hour

No field mapping. No setup calls. One file, and your entire base is scored and ready.

Step 01

Move in with one file

Export your base from the old system or a spreadsheet and drop it in. Parsed, deduplicated, scored.

Step 02

Every candidate, re-read

Gemsift re-reads the whole base for every new role. Each score comes with a plain-English reason. No black boxes.

Step 03

Submit with reasons. Place.

One click packages a client-ready shortlist: who made the list, why, and what to check in the interview. Placements record themselves.

Why Gemsift is different

A score you can defend on a client call

Every pick comes with the reason. Clear tiers, plain-English reasoning, and advisory flags where something needs a second look.

FAQ

Everything you need to know before you switch

Legacy systems file candidates and match keywords; the AI matching button hands you a number nobody trusts. Gemsift is the same familiar grammar, Candidates, Jobs, pipeline, placements, but every score comes with the reason, hidden gems get flagged, and your whole base is re-read for every new role automatically. Moving in is one export file, not a migration project.

This is the problem we built it for. Gemsift looks at what someone actually did, not how polished the writing is. It cross-checks claims against the work history, flags generic filler and inconsistencies for your review, and a strong person who wrote plainly does not sink to the bottom.

It is built to. Gemsift covers the agency core: the base, Jobs, pipeline, clients, placements, submittals. Move in with one export file and run your desk here. If you keep the old system around during the switch, fine: everything in Gemsift exports back out in one click, so you are never locked in either direction.

If you paste role context into a model for every search, you know the approach works. The catch is you rebuild it by hand each time. Gemsift holds your criteria, applies them the same way across your whole base and your team, and writes the reasoning for you. And if you love your AI, plug it in: connect Claude or ChatGPT to your Gemsift base and work it from the chat.

One file. Export your base from the old system or a spreadsheet, drop it in, and the base comes out parsed, deduplicated and scored, typically within the hour. No field mapping, no setup calls, no downtime.

Messy is the normal case. Gemsift handles duplicates, near-duplicates and inconsistent formats during import, and flags what needs a human look, like two people with the same name or a gap worth asking about, instead of silently merging or dropping records.

Encrypted in transit and at rest. Your uploads are used to score your pile, nothing else. Candidates can request deletion and it removes their files and records. You can also try Gemsift on built-in sample data without uploading a single real resume.

Yes. One-click CSV or JSON export of the whole base, scores and reasoning included. We do not hold your data hostage. No lock-in, by design.

Your next placement is already in your base.

Stop sourcing, start placing. Try it on sample data first: no upload, no card, no setup.
